What's New in Mexico?
I re-visited Cholula, Puebla, with a group from school, and God wowed us with this rainbow over the historic area of Puebla!

Monday (September 15) marked the first day of my last three-week cycle of Spanish studies in Puebla. I've reached Level 8, which completes the structured instruction at this institute. I am the only student in my class, which will be very beneficial but also quite draining. My final day of school will be October 3, but my Spanish learning journey will be lifelong!

I will move back to Mexico City on Monday, October 6. Thankfully, Pumpkin and I can stay in guest housing at the One Mission Society (OMS) seminary there until the Lord brings us a more permanent place to live.

Beyond Puebla

While I study Spanish in Puebla, the Lord works through other OMS missionaries and ongoing ministries around Mexico!

Hilda (front left), OMS' Dynamic Women in Missions leader in Mexico, led a training for women from the unreached Purepécha people group a couple months ago. I met a few of the women pictured above on my first short-term trip to Mexico, and God continues to use them for his kingdom!

-Here is the link to an OMS Outreach article written by Jenny, fellow Mexico missionary, about baptisms that took place in Michoacán earlier this year.

-The Mexico field hosted several short-term teams and guests this summer: a mix of evangelism, construction, training, and vision teams (often first-time visitors to the field). I'll be involved with teams like this soon! You can read a testimony from one Mexico evangelism team in OMS' most recent Global Impact Report.

-Our national workers remain dedicated to reaching kids and young adults in La Piedad, Michoacán. They also equip adults of various ages through SEMBIMEX, OMS' partner seminary in Mexico City, as well as carrying out other ministry.

-A young man who received care from MEFI, OMS Mexico's ministry to homeless youth in Mexico City, has had the Lord transform his life. He now serves at MEFI while attending classes at a SEMBIMEX extension center.

As I think of my time in Puebla wrapping up, I have new (but not unfamiliar) needs you can join me in praying for. Please ask God for safety moving out of my Puebla apartment. Please pray for him to reveal in his way and timing my future long-term place to live in Mexico City. He brought me and Pumpkin just the right Airbnb apartment in Puebla, and we trust he’ll get us to the right living space in Mexico City!

Finally, please also intercede for my general transition to life and ministry in Mexico City. I know it will be full of gifts, but I anticipate more significant learning curves and many changes!

Fun fact and shout out to One Village Group: My website now has the feature of translating to Spanish (and French), which is helpful as I increasingly share it with others whose heart language is not English.

Blessings from Mexico as we head into fall (though it feels different here)!
