First Update From Mexico!

Pumpkin and I are adjusting! She is becoming a travel kitty one day at a time. I'm grateful to have her with me!
My dad, Pumpkin, and I arrived safely in Mexico City just over a week ago (Monday the 19th)! The Lord clearly answered your prayers for smooth travels. I can't express the blessing and importance of your intercession.
All the belongings I checked made it without hassle, and our flights were on time. Pumpkin had some restless moments but settled in (😴) by the beginning of our second flight. Our first plane adventure is in the books!

These are the views I got to enjoy from the OMS-related seminary's guest housing in Mexico City, where I stayed before moving to Puebla.
I spent some time Tuesday (the 20th) with the One Mission Society (OMS) Mexico team, acclimating and learning about Mexican life and culture. In addition to the (now) four career OMS Mexico missionaries, there are several national workers planting churches or teaching at the OMS-related seminary. They're godly, welcoming believers!

We visited the basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe. This is where I felt God first nudge me to serve him in Mexico, and having my dad learn about this significant part of Mexico's religion and culture meant a lot to me.
The rest of last week included orientation times with Troy and Jenny (Mexico field leadership), my first Mexico grocery store adventures, as well as meeting with the language school director and dropping a few suitcases in my Puebla Airbnb. It was good to know what to expect at both places and to have had a brief tour of the area to ease my transition to living there, which began today (the 27th).
Language school begins Monday, June 2 here in Puebla!

I'm praising God that the immigration office gave me a June 6 appointment. Lord willing, this is when I will receive my temporary residency card. This requires a trip to and from Mexico City.
My physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual move to Mexico is only possible by God's grace and empowerment and the tangible and intangible support you provide for me as a Christ follower, missionary, and cat mom. I feel this in a whole new way and am extra grateful for you these days! Thank you for your faithful generosity and prayers.
