Approved and Booked!
Pumpkin and I enjoyed a final cuddle on my old (now donated) couch, and I'm so grateful for a great Ford Transit rental and even better helpers (Dad, Mom, and my brother Luke) to get my big furniture moved! I still live on the OMS campus but more minimally.

My journey to Mexico with One Mission Society (OMS) is moving along (pun intended)! I (and Pumpkin) have a one-way ticket booked for Monday, May 19; my dad will accompany us for the trip and a couple days in Mexico City. The OMS team in Mexico is excited to welcome us. We will stay in guest housing at the OMS-related seminary in Mexico City.

Yesterday (May 1) I received a provisional visa in my passport. This visa is single use and allows me to enter Mexico and finish the temporary residency process in Mexico City.

The plan is to begin Spanish language school in Puebla, Mexico, on Monday, June 2. Pumpkin and I will move to an extended-stay Airbnb sometime before then, with the help of a fellow OMS missionary.

Until then, I continue preparing physically, relationally, emotionally, and spiritually for this significant new season of life and ministry.

This is a view of Mexico City from the OMS-related seminary there.

Zoom Prayer Sendoff

OMS is hosting a prayer sendoff for me on Thursday, May 15 at 10 a.m. (EDT). It should last about half an hour. If you'd like to join, here's the meeting information (direct link below)!  Meeting ID: 896 6617 1148 Passcode: 876754

Praise the Lord for bringing me this far and for the many ways his hand has been evident, particularly in the last month!

Ways to Pray

I value your prayers over my entry into life in Mexico. There are numerous transitions coming up, and prayer for God’s protection and presence is vital for all of them.

Please pray for my time in Puebla during language school (development of classmate friendships and rapid understanding/improvement of my conversational Spanish).

I also appreciate prayers for general traveling smoothness, especially for my dear, crazy Pumpkin. Hopefully the calming meds prescribed by her veterinarian will enable her to sleep through most of the excitement.

I know the Lord will provide people, places, and peace, with your prayers paving the way for it all to be possible!

Thanking God for your partnership through friendship, prayers, and generosity!
